How to Build a Log Cabin style Campfire

Campfire starter is your friend If you are like me and you live and camp in a wet environment, then I highly recommend getting a fire starter to help get your fire burning. A fire starter will simplify things when the weather is not so agreeable. The Log Cabin Campfire Log cabin fires are easy to craft, and are particularly useful if you have some larger pieces of firewood to use as a backdrop for the fire. For this method, you start with a pile of tinder in the middle of the fire pit, be sure to use enough tinder to get the logs around it ignited. Next, place two larger sticks or small logs parallel to each other on either side of the tinder bundle keeping the logs close to the tinder so they ignite. After that, place two or three more logs perpendicularly across the first two, forming a square around the tinder. Be aware that it is more difficult to leave an opening for lighting the log cabin style fire, so when you place the  logs, try to ensure that there you have left space enough to successfully insert an ignition source.
